Results of Camden
Assessment Strengths: Religious & Worship opportunities, Public
Safety such as police, fire and EMS, education system, and public health
services such as the health department, CMAP, etc. Weaknesses: Public
Transportation, employment opportunities, care of the elderly (nursing
homes), and affordable housing availability. Priorities: Health services (doctors, dentists,
hospitals, etc), education system, public safety, and employment
opportunities.
Problem Areas: Job opportunities, teen pregnancy, drug & alcohol
abuse, and unemployment.

BUILDING
CCHS Fine Arts for the Kids on the Block puppet program
for elementary students; Cumberland Oaks Betterment Committee for an afterschool
program to assist with homework, support and encouragement but will also
keep the kids focused and out of dangerous situations; Georgia Department of Natural
Resources Wildlife Division/Woodbine Womens Club to provide a Bird
Sanctuary. This will foster family involvement and community and
environmental connectedness. St.
Marys Middle School for a portable computer lab for students to do
research on alcohol, the effects on the body, mind and community and to
make a presentation to others in the school. Cook County Schools for Afterschool
